Our Charolais Herd

Originally from France, Charolais cattle arrived in Ireland in the mid-1960s. Charolais quickly became established as a premium breed with its growth prowess, lean meat, performance, and colour marking ability. Today, it is the most popular breed of beef in Ireland.

At Scurmore Pedigree, we have a long history breeding pedigree Charolais females and bulls for both the domestic and international market. Our herd is also responsible for multiple embryo transfer calves every year.

Our herd is based on our farm on the West Coast of Ireland, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in a pristine, clean, and unspoilt landscape.
